Fear and Hypnosis

Fear is something every human being has encountered at some point in their life. Fear of spiders, fear of the dark, fear of failure, fear of in-laws…I could go on and on about the fears we experience. Some fears can get out of control and when fears interfere with our daily living they become a phobia. When fear develops into a problem for you it doesn’t have to qualify as a phobia. Fears don’t have to be rational to be real to you, know that you will not be judged or laughed at for your fears when working with me. While some spiders are relatively harmless our body responds like it’s in a life and death situation. Even the fear of heights can impact a person while walking the second story of a mall, there is no impending danger, but it can make life inconvenient while trying to shop.
How can hypnosis help fears?
I used to have an irrational fear that affected my life. I once feared balloons…I know it sounds silly, but I would get heart palpitations at birthday parties. Hypnosis helped me conquer that fear and now I have no apprehensions when attending a birthday party. Hypnosis can help you face your fears in a safe setting while relaxed. You will not be exposed to the actual thing you fear, instead you will be asked to think about what you fear and then we work towards a different response to that fear. Sometimes fears can require multiple sessions depending on how afraid you are when encountering that fear. My goal is to get you to a comfortable place without desensitizing you to real fears. You have the control and I have the tools to give you that will help combat your fears.

You will encounter those things that use to scare you and not feel overwhelmed, panicked, dread or any other emotion related to your fear. You can face your fears with confidence and a sense of peace and control. You’ll be able to logically evaluate situations and approach it with a cool and assured attitude.
